The first scanner comes to life

The project moves from an idea to a first deployed application that can receive a photo and start building a catalogue.

This first step lays PokeScania’s historic foundations: the application, deployment, camera flow and first external data import.

Initialized the project and the first deployment foundations.
Set up CameraScan and the first detection flow.
Imported the first TCGdex data.
Prepared tracking for images and missing cards.

The catalogue becomes multilingual and browsable

Cards and sets get their first public pages, with multiple languages and an initial Cardmarket link.

PokeScania starts to look like a collecting product: people can browse data, open a card and prepare an account experience.

Added multilingual support on the backend.
Created card and set pages.
Added the first Cardmarket link, still marked as beta.
Started authentication, Keycloak and permission management.
Internationalized the frontend.

The scanner moves to a stronger architecture

The frontend moves to Next.js and scanning connects to a more structured backend detector.

Added typed API clients and more reliable error contracts.
Migrated the card and set catalogue.
Added user collections.
Added backend detection, diagnostics and deployment preparation for the new frontend.

Scanning and collections become usable

The mobile scan experience is redesigned, collections gain filters and model V2 enters testing.

The product becomes more useful day to day, while V2 testing also shows that more experimentation is needed before a final model.

Market data and model V3 take shape

Price, variants, card language and new scanner generations begin to work together.

V2 was tested and then replaced by a new V3 direction. In parallel, market data becomes more frequent and explicit.

Added authoritative TCGdex synchronization and price refreshes.
Added variant price history.
Integrated the V4 language model.
Replaced the V3 detector and added local diagnostics.
Started LiteRT, WASM, WebGPU and public detection-box experiments.
Added the market-data service and asynchronous synchronization.

The catalogue is rebuilt around persisted data

The latest pre-V1 foundations bring cards, products, images, variants and prices into one durable model.

This version prepares what comes next without claiming V1: it makes the foundations reliable before Japanese prices, Japanese products and public V3.

Progressively migrated catalogue routes to JPA.
Kept card and price references stable during the refactors.
Resumed synchronizations from a checkpoint after a failure.
Added catalogue image editing and publishing.
Restored product navigation and image fallbacks.
Prepared country-specific prices and storage that remains under the owner’s control.

The catalogue opens up to markets and products

Country-specific prices, redesigned data storage and sealed products are now available in the catalogue.

This version turns the pre-V1 foundations into visible features: data is better structured, markets are separated and the catalogue is no longer limited to individual cards.

Redesigned storage to better structure and control data.
Added sealed products to the catalogue.
Updated the roadmap with these three milestones marked as done.

Model V3 becomes the primary scanner

The V3 scanner replaces the older generations and is now available from the product’s public entry point.

Local V3 detection is now at the center of the scanning experience. Older scan interfaces and detection routes were removed to keep one clearer journey.

Published the V3 scanner on the public /scan route.
Removed the V1 and V2 scan interfaces.
Kept V3 diagnostics available for administrator monitoring.
Simplified scan navigation and routes.

Chain Scan speeds up collection sessions

A continuous scan mode identifies several cards quickly while keeping corrections and collection saving under the user’s control.

Chain Scan supports long sorting sessions: the camera stays active, results flow one after another, and each card remains available in the local history.

Added a Chain Scan page independent from the classic scanner.
Added local history with card language, card match and variant correction.
Added confirmed bulk saving to the collection.
Added a temporary animation for the latest detected result.

Japanese cards get their own prices

Japanese cards now have a dedicated price reference in the catalogue.

Prices account for the card’s Japanese language to avoid confusing its value with a global Cardmarket price that may belong to another language.

Added a dedicated price reference for Japanese cards.
Separated Japanese prices from references for other languages.
Marked the Accurate Japanese prices roadmap milestone as done.

La collection devient un portefeuille

La collection se réorganise autour de sa valeur, de ses séries et de ses produits scellés, avec une édition plus complète des exemplaires.

Cette mise à jour transforme la collection en un espace de suivi plus lisible : les cartes, les produits et leur valeur sont consultables séparément, tout en conservant une gestion fine des exemplaires.

Ajout d’une vue portefeuille avec la valeur globale, la répartition cartes/produits et l’évolution des prix.
Ajout des vues par série et produits, avec progression de la collection par série.
Ajout du suivi des produits scellés dans la collection, avec ajout ou retrait d’un exemplaire à la fois.
Ajout de l’édition de la langue, de la variante et de la quantité d’une ligne de collection.
Amélioration de l’affichage mobile, notamment pour les onglets de collection.
